Australia: AUSVEG seeking professional to coordinate the National Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP) Program

Image result for ausveg logoAUSVEG, the National Peak Industry Body representing the interests of Australian vegetable and potato growers, is seeking an experienced and energetic professional to coordinate the National Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP) Program for the participating industries. The association says Tomato potato psyllid (TPP) (Bactericera cockerelli) was reported to be found in mainland Australia for the first time in February 2017 (in the Perth Metro Area), it was recently agreed by industry and government that TPP can no longer be feasibly eradicated and that a Transition to Management (T2M) program should be implemented in Western Australia. It is vital to the success of this transition to management phase that there is a single point of contact between the various affected industries to coordinate and facilitate response efforts to limit the impact of this pest.
